Day 1: We’re Rolling

Left Union Station in Chicago on time at 2:15 pm on Monday. Almost to St. Paul at 10:00 pm. Nice scenes throughout Wisconsin and beautiful ride along the Mississippi on the Minnesota side from La Crosse to Winona and beyond.

Traveling with my cousin Guy Weber. Had dinner in dining car with Andy and Tara from London. Earlier in the day met a rock bass guitarist from England who has played with David Bowie, Frampton and Frank Zappa, and a couple from Gettysburg heading to Utah for 150th anniversary of Golden Spike ceremony.

I’m ready to depart from Chicago
