Day 13: New Orleans: Ferry to Algiers

Took the ferry across the Mississippi to the Algiers neighborhood at midday. Algiers is quiet.

Bicycled on a path on the levee. From that vantage point, you can clearly see how the level of the river on one side of the levee is well above the level of the streets and houses on the other side. It’s also a good place to watch the ships and tow boats going up and down the river.
